Where to start?
This blog thingy is already looking like a plane dashboard..but
anyhoo :D
...my paintings have raised some questions recently about beauty.

I embrace the idea that "beauty concerns the sociological fabrications of a society and not some kind of transcendent revelation of an Eternal Truth."

Michel Onfray, a major philosopher, discusses this in "Archeologie du present"...just awesome. Here is a guy who proposes an other alternative, a postmodern beauty.

Now...a woman's body. Some feminists had suppressed their own sexuality...
But if there is some equality between the sexes, a woman should be able to be a woman in just a woman's body and form. The bodies I paint fill the space, they impose their sexuality.

Hey Nathalie,

I just got done adding your palette to my collection. Thank you so much. I see you use blue black.

I'm currently studying Alyssa Monks palette. She uses Blue Black as well. Blue black is Ivory Black and French Ultramarine mixed together. Ive always just mixed my blue black, but since your using it and Monks is too, I think Ill buy a tube. I'm curious now. Ive never used Flesh Ochre, that's another one Ill have to try. :)

Thanks Again, Sincerely, Jason
p.s. Ill keep checking in from time to time to see what your up to. I love your work!

Thank you, I love to hear that:D
I actually studied with Alyssa, she's a very good painter, I highly recommend her class. I would love to know about Cynthia Westwood palette, if you can find it out, and Jenny Dubnau's...
What a cool project you have!!

Hi Nathalie,

well I heard back from Jennifer Dubnau today regarding her palette. I still havent heard from Cynthia. :(

Jennifer said she dosnet have a particularly rigid or set one: I use pretty basic colors. Cadmium reds, yellows, and oranges, some earthy colors (burnt sienna, mars yellow, burnt umber), viridian, ultramarine blue, pthalo green and blue, dioxazine violet.

Best, Jason :D
p.s. If I hear from Cynthia, Ill be back to let you know.
