Check out this great new blog about women painters who paint portraits of women. The author of the blog is a very good painter herself, Sadie J. Valeri.
It has many of my favorite painters and many to discover!

Where to start?
This blog thingy is already looking like a plane dashboard..but anyhoo :D
...my paintings have raised some questions recently about beauty.
I embrace the idea that "beauty concerns the sociological fabrications of a society and not some kind of transcendent revelation of an Eternal Truth."
Michel Onfray, a major philosopher, discusses this in "Archeologie du present"...just awesome. Here is a guy who proposes an other alternative, a postmodern beauty.
Now...a woman's body. Some feminists had suppressed their own sexuality...
But if there is some equality between the sexes, a woman should be able to be a woman in just a woman's body and form. The bodies I paint fill the space, they impose their sexuality.
